How Express Entry System Works
Step 1: Eligibility
Eligibility to qualify for this system depends on various factors such as education, age, language proficiency, work experience etc. After obtaining 67 points on the selection grid the applicants become eligible to submit their profile to the Express Entry system.
Step 2: Submit your profile
An Expression of interest (EOI) is submitted by applicants to the Express Entry Pool who meet eligibility criteria under one of 3 federal Canada Immigration Programs or a Provincial Immigration Program,.
Step 3: Receive an Invitation to apply
Applicants’ profiles are ranked against each other according to a points-based system called the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). You can take the help of the CRS calculator; to check your CRS.
The highest-ranked candidates will be considered for an invitation to apply (ITA) for permanent residence. Those receiving an ITA must quickly submit a full application and pay processing fees, within a delay of 60-days.
